Pics from Chicago Half-marathon

I promised, and here they are. It was a chilly morning, but turned into a wonderfully warm, sunny day. The half-marathon starts at the Field Museum and follows Lake Shore Drive for about 10 miles. The finish line is back at the Field Museum. It was a beautiful run, although I must admit not paying attention too much to the scenery.

This is me about mile 10 or 11. My friend's husband had the camera out and ready.

Coming in to the finish line. Final chip time 2:07:20!

This is me, Heidi, and Kaaryn. Kaaryn talked me into this race. Overall, I am pretty pleased with my performance. Enough so that I registered for the Indianapolis mini-Marathon in May. This race actually starts in downtown Indy, winds through the 500 track, and returns back downtown. Brian will run that one with me. I am looking forward to that a lot!!!!

Well, yesterday was the Chicago 1/2 Marathon. A 1/2 marathon is 13.1 miles. It was a beautiful day to run. I will post more info and pictures later, but my stats are as follows

Official time: 2:07.20
Split: 1:05.14
Overall Place: 4,551/10,000
Women 35-39 rank: 304/840

This is all from the devinesports.com website so these are official numbers. I am so damn pleased with myself I can't stop grinning.
