It's been a long time. . .
. . .since I have posted to the blog. Guess I have been a bit busy. This year, I have taken on administrative duties as program coordinator. This is only a part-time role of my position. Basically, it means I teach one less class so I have "time" to do administrative duties that used to be a full-time job. I am still learning the ropes, but I am hopeful that this experience will be valuable to me as I complete my EdD.
Over Spring Break, I will go to Phoenix for my year 3 residency. This is an eight-day affair involving 5 credit hours of doctoral work. I am nervous and excited. If I pass these courses, I will be considered a doctoral candidate. If I pass, I can submit my dissertation proposal, which is essentially chapter 1-3 of the dissertation. I still need to finish chapter 3 as well as some assignments due at the start of the residency. I find it difficult to do all this while trying to finish a course, go to work, and be a mom (and wife too). Fortunately, Brian is very helpful to the extent he can be. Unfortunately???, the kids have learned to be quite self-sufficient in the past few years.
Brian is almost done in Detroit with rotations. He will be in Chicago (thank God) for a 6-week Pediatric rotation in March and then to Janesville, WI for Family Practice. It is possible that he will be able to finish rotations in ROCKFORD!!!! Keep the prayers and crossed fingers going for that!
Yes, the orange and black should look familiar ;)
Nolan is the kid in the grey shirt with the black shorts and socks running like heck to the soccer ball. OK, so, that is what I have right now. More later. I promise.
