Miscellaneous Thoughts

Michaila ran a 9 minute mile in P.E. and finished third among the girls in her class. I am proud of her! Nolan's soccer team still hasn't won a game, but at least they are scoring goals. I hope they win this weekend! I have been grading papers and watching the baseball playoffs. I think the White Sox really need to soundly win tomorrow to show that last night's 9th inning call wasn't a fluke. Today we had a fire drill at school, in the rain, and one of my student's challenged me to race him to the door, which I did in heels! I almost beat him, but I am pretty sure the principal is going to have something to say. Is it unprofessional, probably...yet, the relationship we have with the kids in my department has to be on a different level than most teachers or the kids don't respond. Oh, and the drama continues with the school board...here is a link on that...which makes me think I am not such a bad influence afterall!

Nice job Michaila! You could kick my butt in a race! Dusti, did you win your race in the classroom? Haha. That's cool that you can get along with your class like that. I bet you are the favorite teacher! I hope Nolan is still having fun in his soccer league even if they aren't winning. I'll be in the losers circle on Saturday when I finish the triathlon. I haven't trained much at all. As I like to say...someone's got to be the best at being last it might as well be me!
