Halloween 2005

Well, my kids are definitely getting older and their costumes reflect that!

Last night we carved pumpkins. This is the first year I actually let Nolan carve. I helped him a little and showed him a few tricks I have learned over the years. His pumpkins says "Boo." Michaila won't be allowed to handle a knife until she is 16 because I don't feel like going to the ER! Her pumpkin has a peace sign on it. I know, not traditional, but she is really into this hippie stage, which is fine as long as she stays away from hippie behavior, if you know what I mean.
Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood is a bit sporadic since the houses are so far apart. So, my kids took off with friends to other parts of Byron. I am sure they will come home with so much candy that I will be giving it as prizes to my students! In the meantime, I am sitting in front of the computer working on this class....next topic...critical thinking...grrrr
